Sterling Heights Man Charged in Fatal DUI Crash in Commerce Township

A Sterling Heights man, 51-year-old Kevin Joseph Koldys, faces a felony charge for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and causing a fatal crash. On September 5, he lost control of his car in Commerce Township, causing a three-car accident that killed a 30-year-old man. Koldys was arraigned with a $25,000 bond, according to CBS News Detroit.

Koldys was driving north on M-5 when his Lexus RC went off the road, crossed through tall grass, and returned to the road, hitting a Chevy Trax. The Trax then collided with a Honda CR-V.
