BUFFALO, N.Y. — Erie County Democratic Party chair Jeremy Zellner on Friday formally announced plans to run for mayor-elect Sean Ryan’s New York Senate seat.
Zellner told 2 On Your Side his priorities will include making things more affordable for Western New Yorkers. That means he’ll leave his role as the Democratic Board of Elections commissioner to run for State Senate, but he says he’s proud of what he’s accomplished there and is ready for the challenge ahead.
“It’s been a tough decision, but I believe I can make a difference for the 61st District, and the voters are going to have the say. There’s going to be three elections next year for this seat, but I look forward to making my case to them,” Zellner said…
