Florida Farm-to-Table Chain To Open First Charlotte Location in South End

Naked Farmer will open its first North Carolina spot at 2725 South Blvd. in South End. A filing on the North Carolina Secretary of State’s website confirms this. The fast-casual chain submitted a signage request to the city on Dec. 16. No official opening date has been announced yet.

The eatery will take over what used to be Maple Street Biscuit Company at Sedgefield Shopping Center. Founder and CEO Jordan Johnson appears as the registered agent for Naked Farmer 2725 South LLC in the filing. The biscuit shop closed sometime last year.

This chain sources ingredients from small and medium-sized farms in areas where it operates. “Our farm-to-table restaurants boast a menu grown in direct conversation with small and medium-sized farms in our region, brought in from the fields, and cooked on site by chefs who know their vegetables,” the company’s website says, according to The Charlotte Observer…
