CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is dead after being hit by a train in southeast Charlotte, officials say.
Shortly after 9;45 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a call for service involving a CSX train and a pedestrian in the 9500 block of Monroe Road. Officers located an unresponsive pedestrian, later identified as Daniel Kotrman, 48, lying alongside the southeast-bound track with serious injuries.
