First Alert Forecast: Top 5 warmest Christmas on record possible this year

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A warming trend will be in place for much of the week ahead. Mornings will still be a bit chilly, but the afternoons will be much warmer than normal, especially on Christmas Day.

Monday morning temperatures will be in the low 20s/. So, you may still want a coat and some gloves as you head out for the morning commute, but afternoon temperatures will climb into the low 40s. From there, afternoons will get warmer.

Highs in the upper 40s on Tuesday, low 50s on Wednesday, and Christmas day, the forecast high in Fort Wayne will be around 58 degrees, which would be the 5th warmest Christmas Day on record Fort Wayne, with records going to back to 1897. It does look like the warmer weather will linger into the start of the weekend before we get knocked back to reality next Sunday…
