The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 8:54 p.m. EST on Saturday in effect until Sunday at 4 a.m. EST for Ottawa, Kent, Ionia and Clinton counties.
The weather service says to anticipate, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”
“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” adds the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
