‘There’s light up there as there’s light down here’: The tale behind Lexington Catholic’s light display

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — For the second year in a row, a student at Lexington Catholic High School has plugged into a way to bring some extra meaning to this season of light.

“People around society are asking, ‘What is this for? Why did you do this?’ and it’s to honor Father Norman,” senior JJ White said.

As people passed by the school, thousands of Christmas lights were visible across the campus, creating a beautiful display. But those who know the story say it is far more than just a pretty scene.

“People that never, you know, knew Father Norman or ever got to meet him—this kind of shows people, like, what he was, you know. Everyone has a light in their life, and he tries to give that to everybody,” White said…
