$11,000 raised for Marion foster children through Christmas Golf Cart Parade

An annual golf cart parade in Ocala raised over $11,000 to benefit foster care children in Marion County.

The seventh annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade brought more than just holiday lights to the Historic District earlier this month, generating $11,046.13 to benefit The Fostering Foundation.

Led by Ocala Main Street and started by Tim Bascom, who runs a local Allstate Insurance agency, the agencies shared the news following the December 6 event, stating they were honored to present the check to the local nonprofit.
