S.F. power outage: restaurants and cafes open without electricity

Businesses opened their doors Sunday morning in San Francisco despite an ongoing power outage that left thousands of residents without electricity.

Pacific Gas and Electric Co. continued working Sunday to restore power to 17,000 customers mostly in the Presidio, the Richmond District, Golden Gate Park and “small areas” downtown. The company said it didn’t have an estimate on when power would be restored.
