FORT MYERS, Fla. — A Bedford High School, University of Toledo, and University of Toledo Law School graduate is still missing in the Gulf of Mexico near Fort Myers, Florida where the man and his uncle were fishing.
Attorney Brandon Billmaier, 33, who lives in Fort Myers, was on a fishing trip with his uncle on Friday when they failed to return when expected, according to a post on his wife’s Facebook page.
The U.S. Coast Guard instituted a search for the missing fishermen on Friday night and two hours after deploying a helicopter, were able to find the men’s boat, however the men were not found.
Since that time, the Coast Guard has continued to search for the men, and on Saturday coordinated with private boaters to search a large area near where the boat was found. The Coast Guard says they will be continuing their search through the night by air and by sea…
