The Aurora Police Department is aware of a video circulating online showing officers pursuing an individual believed to be the Grinch at the Fox Valley Mall.
Just earlier this week, Ofc. Braden Lentini was on a foot patrol at the mall after receiving a report that the Grinch was removing items from Santa’s Christmas Tree. Ofc. Lentini made contact with the Grinch, who attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, the Grinch was taken into custody without incident.
In the interest of transparency, the Aurora Police Department plans to release the body-worn camera footage on Monday. We understand the public interest in this incident, especially during the holiday season…
