A 68-year-old man was shot in the chest last night on San Antonio’s Northeast Side, turning a quiet residential stretch of the 8302 block of Glen Shadow Drive into an active crime scene. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, and deputies later detained a man at a different location as they worked to sort out what happened.
According to KSAT, Bexar County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the area around 9 p.m. Witnesses at the home where the victim was found gave deputies information that led them to a second residence in Converse, where authorities say they took a male suspect into custody and recovered a weapon.
Two Scenes, One Arrest
As reported by KENS5, the sheriff’s office said deputies ended up working two crime scenes: the Glen Shadow Drive home where the victim was found and the Converse address where the suspect was detained. Officials said the case is still very much under investigation, and they have not released the names of either the victim or the man taken into custody.
