San Antonio hotel workers secure $20 minimum wage in new union contract

SAN ANTONIO — Workers at two hotels in San Antonio will be getting a bigger pay-check starting next year.

Workers at the Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency hotels, who are represented by the Unite Here local 23 union, recently ratified a new contract to raise their minimum pay.

According to the union, housekeepers, laundry attendants, and other hourly employees will be the first hotel workers in the city to make a minimum of $20 an hour…
