Instructor accused of falsifying nursing license taught students for nearly a year at Boise nursing school

BOISE, Idaho — For more than a year, a professor taught nursing fundamentals to students at Eagle Gate College in Boise. He supervised them during clinical rotations, demonstrated invasive procedures, led lab sessions, and was eventually promoted to assistant dean.

There was just one problem: 7Investigates found Daniel Foti had no nursing license anywhere in the United States.

Students and a former faculty member said they repeatedly raised concerns about Foti’s qualifications in early 2025, but administrators at the Utah-based private nursing school allegedly dismissed their warnings.
