Moped crash in Kualoa leaves man in serious condition; pedestrian hit by vehicle in Kailua

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Today, Dec. 21, in the Kualoa area, a man is in serious condition after losing control of his moped. While in Kailua, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle at the Kalanianaole Hwy intersection.

The Honolulu EMS responded to a moped crash in the Kualoa area just after 12:30 p.m. this afternoon.

Officials said the crash was on Kamehameha Hwy near Johnson Rd., where a 52-year-old man suffered a head injury.

EMS said that the rider was not wearing a helmet.
