Some light snow overnight Monday into Tuesday; relatively quiet and seasonable for Christmas

The Winter Solstice officially arrived at 10:03am Sunday morning but it certainly didn’t feel bitterly cold for the day. Many of us topped out in the mid 40s Sunday afternoon which is a little above the average high for this time of the year which should be in the lower 40s. We saw a mix of sun and clouds for the day as well, but a stiff westerly breeze occasionally gusting to 30 to 35mph definitely added a little extra chill to the air. High pressure will kick start our week with a dry, rather sunny, and seasonably chilly Monday followed by a clipper system moving in Monday night into Tuesday bringing a minor and light accumulation of snow.
