COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Vulnerable Adult Guardian ad Litem Program of South Carolina prepared 100 holiday stockings and delivered them to vulnerable adults.
Receiving the stockings were some in assisted living and skilled nursing facility locations in the CSRA.
Toys for Tots has extended its donation deadline to Monday as the organization works to fulfill more than 900 remaining toy requests with Christmas less than a week away.
The program provides guardians ad litem for vulnerable adults aged 18 and older, many of whom have been abused, neglected, or exploited, and are in the protective custody of the South Carolina Department of Social Services.
In our region, stockings were distributed in Allendale, Bamberg and Orangeburg counties, as well as to a vulnerable adult from South Carolina living in an Augusta facility…
