Charlotte Gripped by Multiple Homicides as CMPD Seeks Public’s Help in Investigations

Charlotte has been shaken by a series of tragic events, as the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigates multiple homicides across different parts of the city.

The first incident, a double homicide in the Steele Creek Division on Farmhurst Drive, involved 18-year-old Samir Canales Molina and 16-year-old Bravlio Galeano Ayala, who were fatally shot. In a separate incident in the Westover Division on East Woodlawn Road, officers responding to a welfare check found a person with a gunshot wound.
