OHIO — The Van Wert Police Department is warning families to be alert for drug-related paraphernalia after a possible overdose sent a person to the hospital over the weekend.
According to a police department press release, officers and medics responded Sunday to a report of a possible overdosein the 700 block of North Washington Street in Van Wert. A “younger male” was found unresponsive at the scene, treated by emergency medical personnel, and transported to a hospital for further care.
While investigating, officers said they observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the residence. Police Chief Doug Weigle described finding “an unbelievable amount” of THC vape pens and cartridges, which authorities believe may be marketed toward minors…
