Mayor Mike Duggan’s Deputy Mayor Melia Howard becomes the new general manager of the Detroit Transportation Corp., which owns and operates the Detroit People Mover. The appointment is effective Jan. 1.
Howard was unanimously approved by the DTC Board of Directors. She becomes the eighth General Manager in DTC’s 38-year history.
