Three-alarm fire destroys building in North Fair Oaks

A three-alarm blaze broke out at a single-story commercial building in North Fair Oaks on Saturday, Dec. 20, prompting roughly 60 firefighters to deploy to the scene.

The fire at 707 and 711 Warrington Avenue was reported to emergency dispatchers at 5:40 p.m. and the first crews arrived five minutes later, Redwood City Deputy Fire Chief Greg DaCunha told this publication.

He described the affected building as a “total loss,” but said that firefighters were successful at stopping the blaze from spreading to surrounding structures. The building that caught fire was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured, DaCunha said…
