Carter Street apartment fire displaces family of 3

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Fire Department responded to an apartment building fire on Carter Street in Rochester on Saturday night.

According to fire officials, crews arrived on scene following a report of an apartment fire with a possible person trapped at 8:20 p.m. Firefighters were able to confirm that the occupants of the two-story multi-unit complex, owned by Rochester Regional Health, had all made it out of the building safely before crews discovered a fire in a first-floor bedroom.

The fire and damage were contained to the unit, as the flames were extinguished in under 20 minutes. Officials say no injuries were reported during the fire…
