Civilian plane intercepted over Palm Beach as F-16s enforce Mar-a-Lago flight restrictions

PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — On Sunday morning, F-16 fighter jets from the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) intercepted a civilian plane that entered restricted airspace over Palm Beach.

Officials reported that the incident occurred around 9:20 a.m. when the aircraft violated a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) zone.

In response to the violation, it was reported that NORAD pilots used a “headbutt” maneuver to signal the civilian pilot and safely escorted the aircraft out of the restricted area…
