CLIVE, Iowa — Two tickets sold in Iowa just missed the Powerball jackpot.
Both tickets missed the grand prize by a single number, but one lucky ticket holder still walked away with a $1 million prize in Saturday’s drawing. The ticket was purchased at a Kwik Star in Benton County. It matched all five white balls but missed the Powerball.
“A jackpot of this size naturally captures attention nationwide, but a $1 million win right here in Iowa shows there are plenty of chances to win along the way,” Iowa Lottery CEO Matt Strawn said.
