Semi driver arrested for Albuquerque gas station stabbing over parking spot

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A truck driver is behind bars Saturday after police say he stabbed another person for taking his parking spot. According to the criminal complaint, 58-year-old Enrique Solic was driving his semi truck at the Love’s Travel Stop in northwest Albuquerque when a different truck driver took the spot he was trying to park into.

Witnesses say an argument followed and quickly escalated into a physical fight. Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies say the victim was stabbed by Solic multiple times.

When deputies spoke with Solic, he claimed it was out of self-defense, but multiple witnesses say he had theknife out before it got physical. He is booked at MDC and is facing a charge of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm…
