SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 21, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A West Jordan man has been indicted after officials say he assumed the identity of another person to obtain Social Security benefits and private insurance policy benefits for approximately 20 years.
Terry Lynn Reynolds, 69, allegedly obtained more than $1 million in Social Security and private insurance benefits.
According to court documents, beginning on or about Nov. 8, 2004, and continuing to about June 13, 2025, Reynolds allegedly executed a scheme to assume the identity of Person 1, who received disability income from a private insurance policy (Company 1) and Social Security benefits from the United States Social Security Administration (SSA) to obtain that money for himself, a says a news release issued by the Department of Justice, District of Utah…
