One of the Hawaiʻi Kai murder suspects has been charged with family member’s death

HONOLULU (KHON) — Honolulu Police Department charged one of the suspects in their Hawaiʻi Kai murder investigation on Dec. 20 around 10 a.m.

On Saturday, Dec. 20, police responded to a welfare check requested for a 60-year-old woman living on Upolo Place. She was found dead with fatal injuries on the floor inside the home, officers said.

Micah Auna, 29, was charged with Murder in the Second Degree on Monday, Dec. 22, HPD reported.
