Buncombe County awarded over $37M for streambank and waterway repairs post-Helene

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Buncombe County will get more than $37,472,825 to rebuild streambanks and repair waterways following Helene.

It’s the first phase of the United States Department of Agriculture’s Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) program.
