AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Families received new toys and food ahead of Christmas on Thursday during a Toys for Tots drive in Augusta.
The giveaway took place at Diamond Lakes Community Center. Organizers provided food for families in need, including turkeys and hams.
The holiday fun hit the Kroc Center as ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ was played Friday evening.
“Some of the families are lacking, and so we are here to be that help to help aid and assist families to get over the hump just before Christmas,” said Gregory Smith, president, Potentate Counsel. “We strategically picked this day that is closer to Christmas so that families who have last-minute needs.”…
