A man faces charges after witnesses say he drove on a curb and crashed his car on Highway 27 with a baby in the front seat on Saturday, according to an affidavit from the Chattanooga Police Department.
That affidavit says police were called by a person who had seen a Silver Toyota Avalon driving up on a curb on Rossville Boulevard just after 4:30 Saturday afternoon. That witness told officers the driver also nearly rear ended another car, hit another curb, then got onto I-24.
The affidavit say the car also hit a concrete divider as it made its way to Highway 27. The car then swerved off the road, hit a barrier on the right side, spun, then hit another concrete barrier on the other side of the road…
