RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO) — A man has been charged with murder after a verbal argument turned deadly on Saturday night, marking the 26th homicide in Richland County this year.
Sergeant Bryce Hughes with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department says deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the Polo Commons Apartment Homes around 11 that night.
“What deputies learned on scene was that the victim and the suspect knew each other, and they were in a verbal altercation prior to this incident. It turned physical, and that’s when the suspect ended up grabbing the weapon and shooting the victim multiple times. And he then proceeded to get in his vehicle, and flee from the area,” says Hughes…
