COLUMBIA, S.C. — Richland County Deputies said the pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended with a crash in front of a busy shopping center on Killian Road in northeast Richland County.
Deputies said just after 12 p.m. Monday, they saw a vehicle that had been reported as stolen in the area of Winslow Way and Clemson Road, and attempted to pull the car over. They said when they turned on their lights and siren, the driver didn’t stop, and began leading deputies on a pursuit.
After a distance of a little over a mile, the driver of the suspect’s vehicle crashed into another vehicle in front of the Kroger on Killian Road. Deputies said the suspect got out of the car and ran away. Deputies said they began searching for the man on foot using a K9 but did not find the person…
