COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – An apartment complex in Columbia was placed under a boil water advisory on Monday.
Columbia Water said the advisory is impacting the Greenbrier Apartments, located at 100 Willow Oak Drive. Officials said crews are “pursuing emergency work” on an eight-inch water line near the complex.
Columbia Water said residents will have no water or lower water pressure as crews work to repair the water line. Once service is restored, residents are asked to boil their water for at least one full minute before drinking or cooking. Any ice made from water not boiled first should also not be used.
The utility said its advisory will remain in effect until a repeal is issued. Those with discolored water after the repeal are asked to run their taps for up to three minutes…
