Former central Pa. resident jailed 6 years for buying, selling human remains

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A former central Pennsylvania man who was a central figure in an interstate conspiracy to buy and sell stolen human remains was sentenced Monday to 72 months in federal prison.

Jeremy Pauley will also serve a three-year period of supervised release and was ordered to pay $1,700 in restitution. He was sentenced at a hearing Monday in Williamsport, according to WNEP.

Pauley pleaded guilty earlier this year to federal charges interstate transport of stolen property and conspiracy of interstate transport of stolen property. He had previously pleaded guilty in state to abuse of a corpse charges related to the case and was sentenced to probation…
