Routine call leads St. Lucie deputies to wanted felon with cocaine

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Deputies responding to a call on Tamarind Drive say they ended up arresting a man already wanted on several felony warrants, with cocaine possession added to the list.

Officers with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office say they responded to the 2500 block of Tamarind Drive for a call for service.

Upon arrival, deputies say they discovered 31-year-old Brandon Madill, who had active felony warrants out of Brevard County, including:

  • Written electronic threats to kill or do bodily harm
  • Two counts of aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony
  • Unlawful use of a two-way communication device
  • Tampering with evidence
  • Criminal mischief
