SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Two teenagers pleaded guilty Thursday to murder and attempted murder charges after admitting they were hired as hitmen for the Sinaloa Cartel and targeted a Chula Vista man last year.
The two teens are allegedly members of the Mexican Mafia-affiliated Westside Wilmas gang from the greater Los Angeles area, according to the Department of Justice.
In March of 2024, Andrew Nunez and Johncarlo Quintero, both 15 years old, allegedly made two attempts during a five-hour timespan to kill the target, during which two people were wounded and one was shot dead.
