Clinton Square is a year-round stunner. But at Christmastime, the iconic Syracuse park literally sparkles.
Every year at the end of November, crews dress up the historic downtown spot in its holiday best, hanging illuminated wreaths with red bows on nearby light posts, transforming the summer’s burbling fountain into a smooth skating rink and setting up Syracuse’s giant menorah.
The centerpiece of the postcard-worthy display is the massive Christmas tree that towers over the Salina Street side of Clinton Square — a 42-foot artificial behemoth with 10,000 multicolored LED lights illuminating its 400 branches.
