A woman was injured after a head-on crash involving a tour bus on McEver Road near Flowery Branch on Sunday, Dec. 21.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened just before 2:00 p.m. on McEver Road near Lake Run Drive. Deputies arrived to find a 2017 Subaru Outback and a tour bus had hit each other head-on.
“The driver of the SUV, identified as Elizabeth Jones, 75, of Tucker, had been traveling northbound on McEver Road when she veered off the roadway and struck a ditch, causing her passenger-side front tire to deflate,” the sheriff’s office said. “Ms. Jones continued driving in the northbound lane for about 3/4 of a mile until she maneuvered into the southbound lane of travel in the area of Lake Run Drive.”
That’s when Jones’ vehicle hit the southbound tour bus head-on. Jones was injured and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment, while no one on board the tour bus was hurt…
