Linn Co. to consider $1.5M funding to replace Big Creek Road Bridge

BERTRAM, Iowa (KCRG) – Linn County leaders are considering spending $1.5 million in federal funding to replace a failing bridge in Bertram.

The Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is seeking public comment on a proposed amendment that would provide federal funds to replace the Big Creek Road Bridge.

If approved, the amendment would cover the full cost of replacing the one-lane bridge with a 30-foot-wide two-lane bridge built to state standards…
