HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Texas Department of Transportation released travel volumes for major interstates in the Valley during the upcoming holidays.
According to TxDOT, the US 77 corridor will see moderate traffic on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Drivers should expect congestion from 9 a.m. to noon when traveling to the Corpus Christi area from Brownsville and Raymondville.

In addition, TxDOT’s data also shows that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are expected to be the highest travel days for those who plan to head out of the Valley through US 281.
