JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Families in South Jackson spent part of their day receiving help and support from neighbors who care. A toy and food giveaway brought smiles to children and relief to parents on Sunday.
The giveaway was hosted by the Operation Good Foundation. The Mississippi Public Health Institute and the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) Center for Violence Research helped make the event possible.
Organizers made sure each child left with a bag of toys and every family received a warm meal.
