WORCESTER — A 29-year-old man who police say spent years on the run from three active arrest warrants in connection with shooting incidents in Worcester has been arrested in Texas and returned to Massachusetts to face charges.
According to a statement from the Worcester Police Department, Kenneth Diaz had three active arrest warrants related to shooting incidents in the city dating back to 2019 and had been on the run since 2022. During that time, several agencies, including Worcester police, attempted to locate him without success.
In November 2025, members of the Worcester Police Department Gang Unit, Crime Gun Intelligence Unit and Detective Bureau met with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service to share information and coordinate efforts to find Diaz, police said. During that meeting, detectives reviewed material from the shooting investigations and identified a woman associated with Diaz who had disappeared after a 2022 shooting in which Diaz is a suspect.
