San Antonio Man on Probation Arrested After Fleeing Traffic Stop and Creek Chase with Firearms and Cocaine

A traffic stop on San Antonio’s Northwest Side escalated into a pursuit Friday morning, resulting in the arrest of 20-year-old Arthur Flores, as the San Antonio Police Department confirmed in a press release covered by KSAT. The incident began around 11 a.m. in the 6900 block of Northwest Loop 410 when an officer attempted to stop Flores for a phone violation, which quickly turned into a physical attempt to detain him.

During the official intervention, the situation took a turn as Flores allegedly resisted the officer’s attempts to handcuff him, after which a Taser was deployed but failed to subdue him, KSAT detailed, a chase ensued through a nearby creek before Flores was eventually captured with the aid of responding officers. The SAPD’s preliminary report underlined that multiple firearms, including one that was stolen, were found in Flores’ possession, alongside cocaine.

The suspect, already on probation, now faces additional legal repercussions as, following the discovery of the stolen firearm and drugs, he was booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center for unlawful carrying of a weapon, evading arrest, and cocaine possession, according to KSAT.
