ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Today, Judge Britt Baca decided to keep 18-year-old Wyatt Ruiz in jail after he was arrested for posting photos of guns and cash on social media.
According to the criminal complaint, APD officers identified a glock in one of the photos with a machine gun conversion switch on it, which is illegal as it turns a semi-automatic weapon into a fully automatic one.

During Ruiz’s pre-trial detention hearing Monday, KOB 4 learned Ruiz has an extensive violent criminal history. According to the District Attorney’s office, he now has federal charges for drug trafficking against him after more than just illegal guns were reportedly found at his home.
