Park City police blotter: Loud music reported on Main Street, making sleep difficult

The Park City Police Department responded to at least two cases regarding loudness on Main Street over the weekend.

  • On Sunday, Dec. 21, at 2:02 a.m., a police officer spoke to someone “about playing amplified music” on Main Street. The person agreed to turn the music off, the police said.
  • On Saturday, Dec. 20, at 10:54 p.m., music described as “very loud” was reported on Main Street. The music was making “it difficult” for the person to sleep, the police were told. The police logged the case as a citizen assist rather than a suspected criminal matter.

Noise complaints along Main Street are commonplace throughout the year, with the shopping, dining and entertainment strip located so close to residential streets.
