Troopers Investigate Head-On Collision

PRINCETON — Three people were injured Monday night in a head-on collision outside of Princeton, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

Troopers were called at 6:56 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Princeton-Kenly Road near Camil Drive.

Authorities said a 2014 white Nissan Frontier pickup driven by Christopher Hamilton, 31, of Princeton, was traveling north when it crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2007 red Lincoln MKX.

The Lincoln was driven by Deleon Lee, 55, of Benson. Christina Garner, 55, also of Benson, was riding in the front passenger seat.

Hamilton, who was wearing a seat belt, became trapped in his vehicle and was freed by firefighters. Lee, who was not wearing a seat belt, was also trapped inside his vehicle and had to be extricated by first responders. Garner, who was unrestrained, was ejected from the Lincoln, troopers said…
