Upstate woman charged with unlicensed nursing, stealing meds

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSPA) – An Upstate woman is facing at least one felony charge and two misdemeanors after investigators said she was operating with a suspended nursing license and stealing medications from patients.

A press release from the Office of the Attorney General said Elizabeth Schlesinger Mullins, 40, of Piedmont, was arrested and booked into the Greenville County Detention Center Tuesday.

According to the release, a joint investigation by the Vulnerable Adults and Medicaid Provider Fraud unit (VAMPF) and the South Carolina Department of Health’s Bureau of Drug Control found Mullins knowingly practiced nursing despite her license being suspended by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing…
