MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Multiple families are looking for another place to stay after an apartment fire in Fox Meadows last week.
On December 19, at approximately 5:16 p.m., fire crews responded to a reported structure fire at 2821 Los Gatos Court. The incident involved a two-story residential duplex, which was occupied at the time of the fire.
The Memphis Fire Department says the fire originated in the kitchen, where a pizza box ignited on top of the stove. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. A working smoke detector was present in the structure.
There was significant property damage, with an estimated $320,000 in building loss and $160,000 in content loss. Exposure damage was estimated at $320,000…
