RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A historic church on Park Avenue in Richmond has been sold to a local Anglican parish for $2.1 million.
Thalhimer announced on Friday, Dec. 19, that Redeemer Anglican Church — through its New City Properties LLC — had purchased the Community Church of God in Christ, located at 1801 Park Ave.
According to a release from Thalhimer, the 25,000-square-foot church was sold by for $2.1 million.
Property records indicate the church was originally built in 1910 and was purchased by the most recent owner — Trustees of Love Temple Church of God in Christ — in 1976…
