BATON ROUGE — A Baton Rouge family is desperately searching for answers after a man vanished just weeks after his brother died while incarcerated at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center — one of multiple recent inmate deaths at the facility.
Walter Johnson Jr. was last seen on November 10th in the Mayfair Hills area of Baton Rouge. Since then, his family says they have had no contact with him and have filed a missing person report. His phone is disconnected, and he has not reached out to relatives, friends, or coworkers.
“It wasn’t until he didn’t show up for his brother’s funeral that we realized something was really wrong,” said Dee Odom, Johnson’s daughter-in-law. “That’s when it hit us — this isn’t normal for him at all.”…
